Super Robot Wars Original Generation Gespenst mk 2

Publié le 30 Mars 2007 par Hellric dans Mech & robots

Here's a new inhabitant of my galleries, my first Super Robot Wars Original Generation figure : the PTX-007-01 GESPENST Mk-II !

Once again it was hunted down by my Japanese friend Masayuki, so thanks to you man !

The figure is only in PVC/ABS, assembled and painted, about 14 cm high.  Great details, strong joints, it is also in the same kind of products as Bandai's Gundam Fix or CMS action figures series. There are not many accessories, justalternative hands, sword and gun, but it keeps the box small, so I can spare some shelf space :)

It makes me want more of this serie, if only they were cheaper... Time to unleash the hunting tiger again ;)

CMS Great Goldran limited figure

Publié le 28 Mars 2007 par Hellric dans Mech & robots

I knew Great Goldran, another Brave series from Sunrise, thanks to the RObot Japan forums, and found it very cool. But I didn't actually like any of the existing Goldran figures until I found, a few weeks ago, somewhere on the Net, a picture of a figure. It was Great Goldran made by CMS, to be sold together with the first batch of The Goldran DVD box. Tried to find it on ebay without success, and I didn't want to spend too much buy buying the whole dvd box. Then I asked my Hunting Tiger to snipe it on Yahoo Japan, and it worked, thanks again to him for this hunt !!! Here's the Brave of Gold in its full shining glory.

It's a non transforming action figure, 18 cm high to the top of wings, similar to Great Baangaan from CMS and also to the Fix Figuration series of Bandai. Very crisp details, nice paint, only problem is the loose joints, but I don't know if it's a problem of my figure alone (it was stated in the auction) or for all figures. The joints could also be less visible, but i love the figure anyway. I like the fact that the paint is not too shiny

My Grail : Megahouse Aura Battler Zwauth

Publié le 15 Mars 2007 par Hellric dans Mech & robots

It's nearly one year since I've seen the first pictures of this figure, and since the day I saw it it's become my Grail ! It's an Aura Battler (the name of the mecha in the Dunbine series), piloted by the black knight and specially customized for him. Megahouse has released some nice Dunbine figures : Leprechaun, Billbine, Vierres, dunbine, and the excellent limited edition Sirbine (you can see all these in the mecha gallery). One was missing in the collection : Zwauth. But this thing is so huge that it is a limited edition of 500 pieces, only available in Japan : 60 cm wingspan, more than 30 cm high, and weight of 5 kg ! It's a prepainted polystone figure, but requires some assembly. I've read somewhere it's the ultimate figure, and maybe it's right after all... I have already done a 1/72 resin garage kit of this (here), but the new figure has so much more details ...

Now I'm expecting to get through Yahoo Japan (My Hunting Tiger did find it !!!), so I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Warhammer chaos army for sale.

Publié le 10 Mars 2007 par Hellric dans Chaos & Demons

Time to make some place for the new figures coming, so I decided to sell my beloved chaos army for Warhammer, more than 100 miniatures, nearly all painted nicely.

This huge chaos army is loaded with lots of vintage miniatures from Games Workshop, Marauder, Fenryll and Heartbreaker miniatures, painted to a good tabletop standard. The number of miniatures allows a great variety of strategies.

8 mounted daemonettes, 2 Juggernauts of Khorne, 9 chaos hounds, 20 bloodletters, 2 trolls, 1 minotaur, 5 horrors of Tzeentch, 2 flamers, 3 sorcerers of chaos, 1 hydra, 5 heroes (Slaanesh, Tzeentch), 5 mounted chaos warriors, 1 mounted chaos lord, Archaon (old one), 8 chaos warriors, 13 marauders, 26 beastmen, Morghur, Khazrak. The beastmen, chaos riders, bloodletters and daemonettes have standard bearers and musicians. Don't miss this unique opportunity !

Mc Farlane Dragons serie 6 preview

Publié le 9 Mars 2007 par Hellric dans Action figures

All Dragons fans, hear ye !

After 5 series with the same clans (Sorcerer, Water, Fire, Komodo, Berzerker, Eternal), Mc Farlane comes back with new clans : Ice, Scavenger, Hunter, Fossil and Warrior. And, for the first time, I really love the whole series. Fossil is a pure Dracolich, Warrior an armoured dragon that reminds me Dragonlance, while Ice, Hunter and Scavenger really bring originality in the design, expanding further the Dragon concept.

Release date is set to July 2007. The boxed set is the Fossil dragon (the dracolich).
