Max Factory Gokin Genesic Gaogaigar

Publié le 13 Juin 2007 par Hellric in Mech & robots

I'm very happy to show you a robot I consider as the best chogokin so far : the King of Braves, Genesic Gaogaigar from Max Factory. As I already said, this is my favourite super robot, he comes from the Gaogaigar Final OVA.
I already had the CMS GGGG, bigger and transforming, but very fragile (and actually broken). When the re-release (version 1.5) of this one by Max Factory was announced, I was very happy because I could at last get one at a decent price. Then I found this great occasion (version 1.0) on Yahoo Japan, for 12000 yen, I didn't hesitate, as I don't care about having 3 extra hands of the version 1.5.
So I mailed my friend Masayuki and the transaction was done very smoothly again.

The figure is 18 cm tall to the top of the head. When you take it in your hands, you a a strong feeling of the quality of this "toy" : loaded with diecast (full body, legs and a half of the arms), no piece falling apart or even moving when you hold him. He has lot of joints and all ere very tight, so he can stand in many positions as in the anime, the stability is very good, unlike the CMS one. There are many accessories, all weapons from the anime are here : bolting driver, will knife, hell and heaven hands (joined or not) , protect shade...
The sculpt is very precise and sharp (the claw of the feet are terrific weapons in the real life :) !). The proportions are a lot better than on the CMS one, much more anime-accurate, making him well balanced and elegant, even dramatic. The paint is very nicely done, and the use of metallics for the red, gold and gray gives a better finish.
A really magnificent masterpiece that each robot collector should own, a powerfull, majestic Brave for sure.

More pictures as usual in the mech/robots gallery: 1, 2, 3 and 4
